A Great Learning Tool and Fun
My son loves maps and now that he is getting older, he really likes exploring using Google Earth. The Leap Frog Tag Map is a great way to introduce geography to your toddler or preschooler.
You will need a Leap Frog "Tag Reader" to use this map. If you don't already have one, you should consider getting one, along with this very educational and fun map from Leap Frog. The Tag Reader has over 40 books available too.
The Tag Reader uses some pretty amazing technology to read aloud whatever you point the pen at. I was amazed the first time I saw the reader used with the books.
The LeapFrog Tag Map teaches map skills, U.S. geography, landmarks and famous places and animals. Some of the things is allows kids to do is go on an adventure, where they meet kid characters from around the country, learn what they eat and how they play.
Young children often recognize places much easier when presented a landmark. For example. my son knew at an early age that the Statue of Liberty is in New York and that the Golden Gate Bridge is in San Fransisco. The LeapFrog Tag Map is a great way to teach your toddler.
There are also more than 10 interactive games that brings characters and other things to life. Plus, Parents can follow their child’s play and learning progress on the "LeapFrog Learning Path."
The map is about 10 inches by 18 inches and only weighs about 3lbs.
