The Best Way to Protect Your Macbook with Case and Covers

By

Protection Starts New

The best way to protect your new Macbook or Macbook Pro is to get a case for it ASAP.  I purchased a white Macbook and there are tons of scratches on it.  In fact, within the first week of owning it, I somehow managed to get a huge gash on the white case.  Protection doesn't have to look like a nerf protective case that you see on Nintendo DSI systems.  There are great, sleek cases that will protect and look good. It is also a good idea to purchase a few plastic covers for your keyboard area. Protecting the palm rest areas is a good idea too.  Mac's hold great re-sell value, and having a mac that is in mint condition is a wonderful way to protect your investment.  This hub will look at the best way to protect your Apple laptop investment. There are tons of skins available on the market. Here are a few we found to work well.

For the White Polycarbonate 13 Inch Macbooks

The Speck Products case is great for the white macbook plastic bodys.  The case is silky-soft to the touch. Give your MacBook (new unibody white polycarbonate model) a smooth, semi-translucent, frosted finish with a grippy edge.

You can get this case in purple, red and black. The case also allows you access important plugs. A cleaning cloth is also included. Keep in mind, THIS CASE IS ONLY MADE FOR the 13 inch MacBook unibody white polycarbonate model. It will NOT fit on older white MacBooks or on any MacBook Pro.

For the Macbook Pro

This case has the same features as the case for the white Macbook, but it is for the 13-inch MacBook or MacBook Pro or 15-inch MacBook Pro (unibody/black keyboard models).

The thing I really like this case because it is totally removable and very easy to put on and remove.  It also features rubberized feet help keep your notebook safe. This case is compatible with all MacBooks with aluminum unibody, including June 2009 and 2010 releases.

iPearl mCover Case Rocks!

If you want to keep the apple logo seen on your Macbook Pro, then the iPearl mCover case is the case for you. It comes as a 2-piece light-weight snap-on protective hard shell case. It is designed only for 13.3-inch Aluminum Unibody/Black keyboard MacBook Pro. Not compatible with white plastic MacBook.

One customer said, "I could not be happier with this case form my Macbook 13 inch. I love the aqua color; however, that's personal taste, and it comes in other colors. The cover fits perfectly and has feet to prop it up for better ventilation which I really like. I happen to also like the metallic rather than a satin finish and that the logo shows through."

A great case to Protect for 25 Years!

Caselogic PLS-13 and PAS-215

I couldn't believe what I read when I found out that the Caselogic PLS-13 and PAS-215 have 25 year warranties! I have a feeling though that you laptop will never last that long, but a good portable case is very important. Plus, this case accents your stylish Macbook well.

The Caselogic PLS-13 Neoprene 13-Inch Neoprene Laptop Sleeve and it's big brother for the 15 inch Macbooks, are form fitting neoprene laptop sleeves. Inside it has an internal lining and neoprene cushion. Zippered Power Pocket stores can store your power adapter and other accessories.

It also has a pocket in the accessory compartment that stores your USB drive The main compartment zips closed, plus it has a 25 Year Warranty! Add 25 years to your age, and say I'll be ___ and this thing will still be under warranty. Wow.
