Review of the Gopro Hero2 Camera
Shot from a Timelapse
The Hero2
Recently I purchased a Gopro Hero2 to record video. If you're looking for a way to capture a unique looking video, then the Hero2 is the camera for you. Here are a few things that I love about this camera.
1. I love the fact that this camera can be mounted on just about anything. In the last week, I have mounted it on my car, took it underwater, mounted it on my ski helmet, on my ski, on my wrist, mounted on a kite for an areal view of my house, and shot footage from the ground inside a RC car. Watching the footage has been a blast!
2. The Gopro Hero2 will also shoot still pictures in time-lapse format. You can set the timer to take pictures every .5 second, 1 second, 2 seconds, 5 seconds and more. You can get really creative when shooting timelapse video. Think outside the box, and look for things that a timelapse video will add perspective to.

3. Shooting at variable frame rates give this camera a professional feel. I have had lots of fun shooting in the 120 frame per second mode. This mode will allow you to really slow a video clip down and see details that is not humanly possible to see. I use Adobe Premiere to edit video clips. You can other editing software too, I only prefer Adobe because I am used to it and it works well!
4. Underwater shots with the Gopro are also great. However, I have experienced a bit of blur underwater. Since purchasing, I have learned through various forums that the Gopro standard case causes the blury picture underwater. There are a few vendors offering polarized lens covers that reduce the blur. The blur isn't a deal breaker for me, simply because of the stunning video the camera produced above water.
